Okay, you're addicted and you want to buy these cute products! Here is a list of my favorite spots for acquiring all things San-X!
Japan
KiddyLand 6–1 Jingu-mae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo +81 03-3409-3431 If you are fortunate to ever be in Japan, definitely put KiddyLand on your list of places to visit. I visited KiddyLand in Harajuku almost once every two weeks. They always had new San-X products of the newest characters on an almost entire floor just dedicated to San-X. Haruhinkan Toy Park 8–8–11 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo +81 03-3571-8008 While it's supposively the biggest toy store in Tokyo, I wasn't very impressed. The selection of San-X products is minimal compared to KiddyLand. However, they had an ample amount of fluffy cute things.
Singapore
Kinokuniya Singapore Main Store, 391 Orchard Road, #03-09/10/15 Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya Shopping Centre, Singapore 238872 +65 6737-5021, +65 6738-0487 (f) I was super excited to find San-X items on my visit to Singapore! Kinokuniya didn't disappoint with a huge selection of San-X, including notebooks, plushies, pencils and pens, and more! There are a few locations of Kinokuniya in Singapore (see below!). Kinokuniya Liang Court Store, 177 River Valley Road, #03-50 Liang Court, Singapore 179036 +65 6337-1300, +65 6338-1278 (f) Kinokuniya Bugis Junction Store, 200 Victoria Street, #03-09/12 Bugis Junction Singapore 188021 +65 6339-1790, +65 6339-1792 (f)
United Arab Emirates
Kinokuniya The Dubai Mall, Level 2, SF-025, Financial Centre Rd., Down Town Burj Khalifa, P.O.Box 283578, Dubai, United Arab Emirates +971 4 4340111, +971 4 4340112 (f), dubai@kinokuniya.com After searching and searching, the mission has been complete!!! I found San-X stuff in the Middle East! Kinokuniya, yet again, didn't disappoint with quite a nice selection of San-X goodies. Only the most popular characters were represented, including Rilakkuma, Mamegoma, Kutsushita Nynako, and a few others, but I imagine more will come! YAY!
United States
KawaiiGifts 5413-A & 5413-B Walnut St., Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA 15232 866-KAWAII-1 customerservice@shopkawaii.com My favorite San-X store in the US. They get new character products quickly from Japan and are always updating their stock. I've ordered from them online and it was fabulous. Sometimes they have special deals where you get a free gift. I've never visted their store, but I've also shopped at their booth at anime conventions, such as Otakon, and they are always friendly. Lil' Thingamajigs 3222 M Street, NW, Washington, DC 20007 202-944-8449 If you are shopping in Georgetown, you may want to stop in the little cute store on the basement floor. The owners are Koreans and also very sweet. I love stopping in here to see what treasures I might find. They have a lot of old character products, but watch out for "fake" ones! Just be sure to check if the San-X logo is present and the character names are spelled correctly. Kinokuniya Bookstore 1073 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10018 212-869-1700 nyinfo@kinokuniya.com Unlike the Kinokuniya Bookstore in Tokyo, this one has a huge selection of San-X products including stationary, plushies, bags, and more. I always try to stop in here when I'm in NY. Kinokuniya Bookstore 1581 Webster Street, San Francisco, CA 94115-3640 (415) 567-7625 sf@kinokuniya.com This location of Kinokuniya in the Japantown of San Francisco is little but worth going to if you're in the area. Wizzywig Collectables 4720 South State Rd., Ann Arbor, MI 48108 734-213-1112 Recently, I've been a little disappointed with their stock. They don't seem to have as much as they used to. However, I have seen products featuring retired characters pop up from time to time so it's always worth a check. They also attend conventions, such as Katsucon and Otakon, however, I've never visited their store. Fan Club Springfield Mall, Springfield, VA 22150 703-922-1888 I haven't been to Fan Club in years since it used to be at Lakeforest Mall and Tysons Corner and Montgomery Mall as kiosks. The owners were Korean and I assume it is the same here. The store had a wide variety of character merchandise, particularly San-X, Sanrio, and some Korean characters. eBay Always a good place to look for various San-X products. I admit I've had way too much fun here, especially for Cheese Family plushies. |

Waah, are there any kawaii stores in LA, California?! >^<'''
ReplyDeleteTo the person who posted above:
ReplyDeleteIf you check out Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, you'll find something. There are several small shopping areas that have markets or small shops that have a few San-x things, plus there is a Kino's there.
Last time I was home, there was definitely a small shop that sold random cute things, most notably a set of Monokuro Buu things I had to resist buying. It was in the same shopping plaza as a Fiore (better than Pink Berry, which is across the street).
hey thers any stores in mcallen!!!!!!!!!!!
